Every news article is remembered. Every atrocity leaves a mark on the psyche.
It felt important to me to create art that reflected the truth that, behind what was going on, that real people existed. So much of what is reported on in the news treats the victims and perpetrators alike as a faceless mask.
It felt important to remember empathy.
